Located in Sijia Town, Haimen City, Jiangsu Province, the company cooperates with China Textile University (now Donghua University), China Textile Academy, Naval Medical University and other scientific research institutions to develop polymer synthetic materials-absorbable surgical sutures, which filled the domestic gap then and was included in the National Torch Program.

In the same year, the company's plant passed the acceptance of the Provincial Food and Drug Administration and obtained the “Medical Device Manufacturing Enterprise License”;

The medical device registration certificates for absorbable surgical sutures and non-absorbable surgical sutures were obtained, and the products were put into market.

Due to the planning demand of the Haimen Municipal Government, the company moved to No. 555, Nanhai East Road, Haimen Development Zone from No. 1 Pujiang North Road, Haimen Development Zone.

The company re-registered and obtained a business license with a new legal person

With a registered capital of 5.6 million yuan, the company built a plant with an area of 9881 square meters in accordance with the requirements of the national sterile medical device GMP standard; in the second year, after passing the State Food and Drug Administration's inspection and acceptance for the plants in accordance with GMP standards, they obtained the medical device manufacturing enterprise license for the new site;

The company obtained the medical device registration certificates for the new site regarding absorbable surgical suture and non-absorbable surgical suture (including medical silk braided suture thread, medical polyester suture thread, medical polyamide suture thread, and medical polypropylene suture thread). Thanks to the good reputation of the products early in the market, the company achieved rapid development with a sales growth of 30% year on year.

After the share reform, the company changed from a foreign-funded enterprise to a domestic-funded one and was renamed “Nantong Horcon Medical Technology Co., Ltd”, and was listed on the “National SME Share Transfer System” in the same year.

The company was renamed “Nantong Horcon Medical Technology Co., Ltd.”, and formally joined the Genesis MedTech Group.
